For years, cattle ranchers in Wyoming have spread paranoia and lies. Enough lies to get the Department of the Interior, "Bureau of Land Management," to acquiesce to the murder, and massacre, of thousands of Buffalo. These majestic animals, sacred to Indian people, naturally roam when they eat. This is why they are good for the environment, as opposed to cattle not indigenous to this continent; who eat everything in sight, before they move. The BLM's policy is to murder Buffalo, as they naturally roam off the Yellowstone Park’s borders, in the wintertime. In 1997, two years ago, A THIRD OF THE YELLOWSTONE HERD WAS MASSACRED! The lies, which are a basis for this policy, concern a disease called Brucellosis. This condition’s only known result, is for pregnant Buffalo cows to abort their calves. Ranchers have used paranoia, making false claims about Brucellosis being spread to their cattle. NOT A SINGLE CASE OF BRUCELLOSIS HAS EVER BEEN DOCUMENTED AS HAVING BEEN SPREAD FROM BUFFALO, TO CATTLE. And a great number of the Buffalo being slaughtered, ARE TESTING NEGATIVE FOR THE DISEASE ANYWAY.

Cattle ranchers graze their animals on public lands at a fraction of market rates. Then, they create mass hysteria, thereby accomplishing the unnecessary and blasphemic killing of our relations. This is all of our tax dollars at work! The Department of the Interior, also oversees the Bureau of Indian Affairs, a colonial agency long known for its ineptitude, to the point of being unable to account for BILLIONS of dollars in Indian "trust" fund accounts. It is not a quantum leap from stealing Indian money, to slaughtering sacred icons, when the objective is the continuing genocide of Indian people, and our customs. That these animals are viewed as our sacred relations has not mattered. Offers by Indian nations to transport the Buffalo away from the areas under dispute have been met with silence. THIS IS YET ANOTHER AFFRONT TO INDIAN SOVEREIGNTY! We support all efforts to rescue the TATANKA OYATE.
